AMAC Swimmers, HOODOOS in Badland Country!

30 AMAC swimmers were an extraordinary find on the pool deck at the Drumheller Regional Swim Meet held January 26th. AMAC became the local attraction as all were mistaken for local hoodoos. AMAC swimmers were the pinnacles of strength, standing tall and strong, effortlessly battling the elements. Our team's excellent attitude and team spirit lead us to a very successful swim meet.

Mikaela Wong (8) 63 1/2 second improvement, swimming her way to an 8 & under first place finish in 100 breast, 2nd in 100 back and 3rd in 100 free.
Anna Dunphy (9) - 18 1/2 second improvement and racing to a 9&10 girls 3rd place finish in 400 & 100 free.
Delaney Haugan (10) - 15 1/2 second improvement and collecting first in the 9 & 10 girls 50 fly & 200 back and 2nd in 50 free & 200 IM

Madison AM (13) improvement to 37.63 in 50 free and receiving 2nd in 13 & over boys 400 free & 100 free and 3rd in 50 free & 200 back. Kayla B (11) placed 1st in 11 & 12 girls 400 free and improved overall by 7 seconds. Will F (9) collected 2nd in 9 & 10 boys 100 Back swimming 2:13.59 taking off 15 1/2. Catherine G (10) placed 2nd in 9 & 10 girls 400 free & 100 free 1:26.95 showing an 11 second improvement. Matthew J (11) 10 second improvement 7:43.38 in 400 free! Emilia M (11) 12 second improvement 2:06.94 in 100 back. McKenzie S (11) placed 2nd in 400 free and 100 & 200 back and improving by over 7 seconds. Angel S (11) 23 1/2 second improvement in 400 free 7:33.19. Ethan S (12) First place in 50 free, 2nd in 200 back and 3rd in 200 IM and 100 back with a total improvement of 4 1/2 seconds

Amanda A (11) first place in girls 11 & 12 100 & 200 back, 2nd in 50 Free & 3rd in 100 free. Taylor A (10) girls 9 & 10 category placed first in all four of her events & improving in the 400 free by 12 seconds going 5:45.16. Camryn AM (10) 400 free took off 71 seconds! Alex B (13) 400 free took off 46 1/2 seconds! Brittany B (13) improvement to 38.88 in 50 free! Paige C (8) placed 1st in 8 & under girls 100 free and 2nd in 400 free, 100 IM and 50 back with 1/2 second improvement 53.28. Savana-Mae C (9) Best time 100 IM 2:13.84. Kallista K (12) 2/4 Best times going 1:51.78 in 100 free for her first time. Ian M (12) first place finish in the 400 & 100 free and 2nd in the 50 free & 100 breast. Meaghan M (8) improved in the 400 free by 23 1/2 seconds going 8:03.39. Amanda R (12) great 100 free, going 1:40.28. Jacqueline R (10) achieved a best time in the 100 free by 3 seconds. Alaina R (7) 3rd place in girls 8 & under 100 & 50 back and 50 free! Madison S (10) placed 2nd in girls 9 & 10 50 back going 50.75 and improved by 2 1/2 seconds. Kiera S (11) placed 1st in girls 11 & 12 50 back and 3rd in 100 & 200 back and 400 free. Taylor T (10) placed 2nd in girls 9 & 10 100 back and improving by 8 seconds.
